daily mind splooge

YAY!!!! I'm finally leaving Virginia beach, bout fricken time.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm in the marine corp and have been stuck in a steaming armpit of the united states called VA. Now don't get me wrong all our history books talk about VA and how our founding fathers started.....stuff....and a bunch of dumb men wanting more land stole it from other dumb men who couldn't hold on to it and all that good rock. the forests and beaches are beautiful but the people, weather, food, tourists, navy, and all other lower life forms that inhabit this place, become really annoying really fast.

I just finished my MAGTF operations planning school and got the fantastic news that I'm heading back to San Diego CA.(Mirmar to be exact) HOW KOOL IS THAT!!! mountains, beaches, weather that doesn't change every 2 hours......I shed a tear thinking about it. And the koolest part is I get to bring my wife this time, BONUS COOKIES!!!!

Now the only real question is when will I get housing.....well I talked to my soon to be new staff sgt. in Mirmar CA, and he says that they are not only going to pick me up from the airport, get me checked in, pre-set up my living barracks, but also take me to get my name on housing for my wife, and allow leave to move when ready. I was like.....woah. Didn't see that one commin at all. most things in the military are :find it your own damn self, and don't screw it up along the way. It's going to be nice being with a command that actually takes care of you and explains questions to get you started and up on your feet.

It always seems that all things in life must change, but when one changes self in not just body but mind and thought, should the heart change as well? To many a times people have sought after what they thought would bring greater happiness, but once achieved they are left just as empty then at the beginning of their quest. Only the challenge brings forth satisfaction. How many mindless drones and zombies have you seen travel too and fro from one point in their lives to another, slowly letting their souls decay as the monotony of life embraces them and no actions are taken to slay the crushing force of this merciless constrictor. too many is the correct answer.

Listen when I tell you, the greatest part of living life is to actually live it. If you feel your days growing stale, then your no longer living every day.....your dieing.
